Individuals and families can purchase health insurance plans through the Health Insurance Marketplace during open enrollment or a special enrollment period if they qualify. Plans can also be bought directly from insurance companies or through a licensed insurance broker who can help compare options and find the right coverage. Financial assistance may be available based on income, helping reduce premium costs.

If you're currently uninsured, you may be able to sign up for health insurance via a special enrollment opportunity available in Colorado.
Due to the wildfires affecting Colorado, a Disaster Relief Special Enrollment Period is currently available through Connect for Health Colorado. You do NOT need to have been personally impacted by the wildfires to enroll in an individual or family health insurance plan.
This Special Enrollment Period is available now through September 12, 2026.
